There is one area where System Shock 2 is lacking, though: multiplayer. In a new interview with Games Radar, Nightdive CEO Stephen Kick revealed the studio is focused on improving the multiplayer. System Shock 2 begins with you being unfrozen from a long cryogenic sleep aboard the Rickenbacker, a security spaceship assigned to tail the Von Braun on her maiden voyage. Apparently, the Von Braun has been infested by an unknown alien race and has converted the crew into relatively intelligent zombies. It'd be great to see System Shock 2 branch out to other platforms after its 20-year life on PC, but porting the game and making it playable with a controller would surely be a tall order - hell.
Apropos of nothing at all, vintage resurrector Nightdive Broadcasters a re-release of Program Shock 2 earlier this week. The studio room didn't offer any additional information at the period, but in an e-mail to GamesRadar, Nightdive Top dog Stephen End distributed a bit even more about the Enhanced Copy, including the chances of it arriving to gaming systems.' We're also heading to experiment with some other platforms mainly to assess how the UI from Program Shock 2 would move to a controller, but that doesn't assurance you'll discover it show up on console anytime soon,' Stop describes. 'Our concern with the Enhanced Version can be to be capable to provide an updated co-op multiplayer element. As of right now beginning a co-op campaign is unnecessarily challenging and we're going to tackle that by applying functions that will allow a even more modern and efficient experience.'
Our additional priority is certainly to assure that all present mods and enthusiast missions are usually compatible with the Enhanced Version,' he proceeds, 'but much of that will depend on the co-operation of the mod neighborhood. We have some other surprises that we'll end up being revealing in the potential.' It'd become great to find System Surprise 2 branch out to some other platforms after its 20-season lifetime on PC, but porting the game and producing it playable with a controller would definitely be a tall order - hell, it's usually challenging to navigate with a mouse and key pad. I can scarcely imagine carrying out it with analogue sticks. In any situation, it's motivating to discover Nightdive prioritize muItiplayer and fan-madé ranges, two of System Shock 2's nearly all compelling - if sometimes dodgy - features. If you're also searching for something to wave you over untiI this re-reIease, you could do much worse than, a outstanding tactical FPS from the có-founder of Illogical Video games which provides more than a bit of Program Surprise to it.

Plus, it's one of the only games I actually played on my language (portuguese from Brazil). Can't really blame anyone for not liking it, old adventure games were pretty much linear. Generally I hate the translation/dubbing work on most games(I know people work hard to do the whole dubbing process, but hey, my taste) but this one. Grim fandango free download.
