If so, please check that if you have added the TCP port and UDP port(1434) in the inbound rule of the Windows Firewall, and you can verify TCP port in SQL Server Configuration Manager. (-1101) MicrosoftSQL Server Native Client 10.0TCP Provider: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.
We have obtained licence for SQL Data Compare 10 and when we try to do a Data compare between two servers(one running on MSSQL Server 2012 and the other on MSSQL 2014) we get the following error, after approximately comparrision of few tables is complete. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.) I have an open case with Microsoft support which so far has yielded nothing interesting, I’m actually appalled by the lack of knowledge around this (whereas I am a very proud.Net technologist).
